Survey & Diligence
Independent survey and full legal and commercial scrutiny, before you are committed.
A yacht is a complex asset. Before you commit, we subject the chosen vessel to independent technical, legal and commercial examination.
We appoint and coordinate independent surveyors, engineers and, where needed, class and flag specialists. Sea trials, hull and machinery survey, tankage, systems and refit history are examined on their merits — by professionals who answer to you, not to the sale.
What we do
In parallel we run legal and commercial diligence: title and encumbrances, VAT and import status, ownership and corporate structure, existing contracts and any liabilities that travel with the vessel. Findings are gathered into a single, plain view of risk so you can decide with clarity.
Where the survey uncovers issues — as it often does — we quantify them and feed them directly into the negotiation that follows.
What you receive
- Coordinated independent survey — hull, machinery and systems
- Sea-trial oversight and a review of refit and maintenance history
- Legal diligence: title, encumbrances, VAT and ownership structure
- A consolidated risk report translated into negotiating position
